Portable gardens add colour to Praça do Comércio

Praça do Comércio is more exuberant and colourful than ever thanks to 45 “portable gardens” with olive trees, that make this Lisboa landmark even more charming. Created on a mobile block with an attractive and bold design, these gardens on wheels offer even greater environmental quality to the city, and further appeal to make the most of this public square. Visitors can now enjoy one of the most innovative public art works available in the Portuguese capital. Designed by Portuguese fine artist Leonel Moura, this project is inspired on mobility, allowing the user to move it as he wishes, and create interaction areas. Leonel Moura first presented this design at the Valencia Biennial in 2003. Photo credit: http://www.cm-lisboa.pt/archive/img/jardins-moveis002-copia.jpg
